Oncolytic Marab virus will cure breast cancer

Specialists from the hospital in Ottawa have achieved success in the use of another virus – Maraby. Experiments on mice showed good results. Scientists have struggled with thrice negative breast cancer, which is considered the most aggressive and almost defies conventional treatment methods.

After the tumor was removed from the experimental subjects, the doctors, together with the complex therapy, began to fight metastases with the help of this virus. The oncolytic virus, together with another means to “awaken” the body and force it to produce antibodies, made it possible to reach 60-90% of cured mice. Dr. Marie-Claude Bourgeois-Dinho, the lead author of the study, said she was surprised by these indicators.
