Will a virus cure brain cancer?

The discovery, capable of destroying one of the most dangerous forms of oncology – brain cancer, was made by scientists from the University of London Leeds and the Institute for Cancer Research. It was brain cancer that killed many famous people. Scientists have found that some types of viruses can fight a tumor.

This was announced by the journal Science Translational Medicine. During the study of reoviruses, it turned out that they are able to overcome the hemato-encephalic barrier that protects the brain of vertebrates from microorganisms.
